Hello Everyone!
Let me tell you, the past couple months the struggle has been real. I feel like I have been pulled in so many directions trying to get everything accomplished, but that’s the story of my life. I came to terms that I just have to deal with it and make every minute in the day count, which brings me to today’s post. A few weeks ago I had an event to go to and I couldn’t find my tan bodysuit anywhere. I triple checked my closet and nothing came up. I was devastated because I had the perfect outfit in mind and yes I know I’m a bit dramatic, but you know how it is when your heart is set on a certain look but you’re not able to carry it out. I was pressed for time so I had to pick another look, which took more time. Irritated doesn’t even begin to describe how I was feeling at that time.
The following day when I looked into my closet, I instantly felt overwhelmed. My winter clothes were mixed with my summer clothes, and nothing was in order. Oh yeah, by the way, I ended up finding my bodysuit in between two dresses, which was literally at the beginning of my closet. Ugh, I thought to myself something needs to be done. I need my closet to be fully functional, where I can open it and quickly find exactly what I’m looking for with ease. Let’s just say I needed help and I knew exactly who to call to give me advice. If any of you have the same struggle, don’t fret. I invited my good friend Kelly Dallaire, Professional Organizer, at NEAT Method on Bloom to give us 5 Easy Steps to organizing our closet. Last week I used her 5 easy steps and let me tell you it made a world of difference, her advice was on point. I’m a firm believer in trying it out before I share it with you all. Believe me these steps are going to change your world if you share the same struggle as I did.

*Purging is not always necessary. Remember, by organizing your closet you are creating more space and a more functional space. If you do decide to do some purging, consider donating your gently-used items. You’ll be happy you did! 🙂
