7 Ways to Pamper Yourself on Valentine’s Day!

When this day comes around, usually everyone goes crazy on what they should buy for their significant other or what they should do on Valentine’s day. Whether you are in a relationship or not, Valentine’s day is a spectacular day to give self-love. What I mean by self-love is to check in and see how you are treating yourself, are you taking care of your body, mind, and spirit? I believe these three things are extremely important. I will discuss more about self-love in a future post. Today I want to share 5 ways you can pamper yourself on Valentine’s Day to make you feel good internally and externally.

Let’s start with giving self-love internally.

Meditation and Yoga is a good way to connect with your mind, body, and soul.

1.Meditation

Treat yourself to a yoga or group meditation class in your area. If you are in the San Diego area, I highly recommend taking a group meditation class with Life Energy Coach, Valerie Sorrentino. I attended my first group meditation with her and the experience was phenomenal. She goes over the best practices for beginners and for people that are more advanced. All I can say is that when I left, I felt at ease and more in tune with my inner self. Lords knows I need it, but seriously I think we all need to be able to clear our minds from stress, work, or life in general. Incorporating mediation in my life has been life changing. I really look forward to understanding and learning more about it with Valerie.

2.Yoga

Yoga on the other hand has been a game changer for me. I recently had Koya Webb, International Holistic Health Coach & Certified Yoga Instructor, on Bloom and she discussed 5 health benefits to incorporating yoga in your life. I go to classes at my local gym, but I’m excited to go to one of her classes soon!

Now let’s get to self-love externally, on a budget of course!

3.Buy an Outfit

Buy yourself an outfit that makes you feel beautiful and chic. You know what I’m talking about, when you are wearing an outfit that exudes confidence, you know and you feel so damn good, strutting around with a little bounce in your step. I felt that way when I purchased this dress from Forever 21. I looked at the design of the dress(check) and then I looked at the price tag (check), I was sold. I’m in love with this versatile dress, because it’s great for spring and summer, which is right around the corner!

4.Get a Mani and Pedi.

I don’t always get a mani, but my toes have to be done. I live in San Diego for God’s sake and you can wear open toe sandals or boots all year around, so these toes have to be on point. It always feels good to get my nails done. I believe that it completes your whole look and makes you feel more polished!

5.Buy Lingerie

I love treating myself to lingerie or a matching bra set because it makes me feel sexy! This is good way to treat yourself and your significant other, kill two birds with one stone! I purchased the dream Angels Multi Way/Strapless from Victoria’s Secret.

6. Girls’ Night Out

If you are single, this gives you a perfect reason to get together with your single girl friends to go shopping, head to a lounge to meet new people or catch the latest flick!

This idea is straight from HuffPost(By Elyssa Kirkham) where I learned there’s a day designated for singles!

7. Dinner Somewhere Fancy

Just because you don’t have a significant other doesn’t mean you can’t take yourself out somewhere nice, or that you can’t celebrate love. Invite a person you love, like a friend or family member, to go out and enjoy a nice, upscale meal. If you celebrate Singles Awareness Day on Feb. 15, you’ll skip the crowds that always turn out on Valentine’s Day. Just make sure you establish this ground rule ahead of time: Your love life will not be on the table for discussion.

Bonus: Unwind with a nice lavender bath with a glass wine!

Your Turn,

How will you be pampering yourself or spending your Valentine’s Day?

Do you have any tips or suggestions on where to go or how to spend it? Share it with Bloom, I would love to hear from you!

Shaniece as always congratulations on the awesome post. I love that the tips are equal opportunity and applicable to both men and female. As a male subscriber, I find amazing and spot on your style and outfit recommendations for ladies and was wondering if you have recommendations or tips for male subscribers hopefully in one of your future posts.
